It's About Time, Happy New Year, and Chicken

You can probably tell that I am having a lot of fun these days. I am trying to think outside the box and it is actually harder than I thought. I am so used to the structure of a regular scrapbook layout. You have your paper or papers, then you add elements, a photo (or more than one), and then maybe some journaling. You follow certain 'rules'. I have been trying to use the same papers and elements but add some effects, blending modes, and in some cases no photo or journaling. It is fun! Try it!

This first one is for a challenge at SBG called 'Impressions of Time'.
Items used:
Paper, arrow doodle, star and heart, and tape from Tangie Baxter Designs. Everything is from the Art Journal Caravan kit [link]
The swirlies in the bottom right corner and the tag is by Polka Dot Chicks.

Last but not least... My ATC of the day.

The background is a photo by myself that was played with a little.
